Official digital premiere date of Rajnikanth’s latest movie is here

Vettiyan OTT Release Date: The long-awaited digital debut date of megastar Rajnikanth’s latest movie Vettyan has been finally confirmed.

Taking to its social media handle, Amazon Prime Video, which is the Tamil action-thriller official OTT partner, has officially announced that from November 8th, 2024, the Amitabh Bachchan starrer movie will hit the digital screens, allowing those who missed its theatrical run to re-watch it right from the comfort of their homes.

Meanwhile, coming to Vettiyan’s Box Office run, the film graced the big screens on October 10th, 2024 surrounded by massive fan frenzy & loads of expectations.

However, regardless of the buzz around its release, its star-studded cast & Thaavia’s stardom, the T. J. Gnanavel directorial failed to pull out anything exceptional at the box office.

Made on a mega-budget of Rs 280 crore (Approx), the action drama only managed to collect a mediocre Rs 300 crore from the ticket windows, which is not even half of what Rajnikanth’s previous movie Jailer minted at the Box Office last year.

Nevertheless, now with the film all set to try its luck on the digital screens, it will be interesting to see how it is received by the OTTians upon its digital release in the coming days.

Cast and Production

In its star-ensemble cast, Vettiyan boasts a set of veteran actors & actresses playing the lead characters. The top actors who have essayed pivotal roles in this promising thriller are Superstar Rajnikanth, Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Pushpa star Fahadh Faasil, and Bahubali fame Rana Duggabati.

For its production, the movie sees Subaskaran Allirajan as its main producer who has bankrolled it under the banner of Lyca Productions.
