Clemson vs Louisville injury update: Bryant Wesco Jr. active
(This story was updated to add new information.)
CLEMSON — Clemson football freshman wide receiver Bryant Wesco Jr. is active for Saturday’s game vs. Louisville.
Wesco warmed up pregame, stretched with his teammates and ran routes. This is his first game since injuring his ankle against Florida State on Oct. 5. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said Wednesday that Wesco practiced a “good bit” but not as much as he would like.
Wesco apparently made enough strides to be dressed Saturday. He has 11 catches for 262 yards and two touchdowns through five games this season. Defensive lineman Vic Burley is back too after missing Clemson’s last game against Virginia. He has recorded three tackles over six games this season.
Clemson will be without wide receiver Tyler Brown and offensive lineman Collin Sadler. Brown will miss his fourth straight game with an ankle injury, and Sadler will be out for his sixth straight with a calf injury.
Brown has logged five catches for 30 yards in four games this season, and Sadler played in the first two games of the year.
No. 8 Clemson (6-1, 5-0 ACC) faces the Cardinals (5-3, 3-2) on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN) at Memorial Stadium.
