Maruti Suzuki will reveal prices for the next-generation Dzire in India on November 11. The compact sedan is expected to make a significant impact on the segment with its unique design and functionality. It is speculated to be equipped with a Z-series 3-cylinder petrol engine that debuted on the new Swift in May. Bookings for the car are currently underway for a token amount of Rs 11,000, while prices are expected to start around Rs 6.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon its launch, the new Dzire will compete against the Honda Amaze (also due for a makeover).

Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Exterior, Interior and Features
The upcoming Dzire has several distinguishing design elements such as a large grille with multiple horizontal slats, sleek LED headlamps (with integrated DRLs), and a revamped fog lamp housing, according to the official teaser and spy images. It also features refreshed bumpers (front and rear), new dual-tone alloys, and new Y-shaped LED taillamps with a thin metal strip.
For now, Maruti Suzuki has not confirmed any details, but the car is expected to have an updated steering wheel, a 9-inch freestanding touchscreen display, and a dashboard similar to the new Swift. It is likely to be equipped with cruise control, auto air conditioning with back vents, a wireless phone charger, a single-pane sunroof (segment-first), rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera (segment-first), and six airbags (standard).
Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Powertrain
The new Dzire is expected to include a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z Series petrol unit. On the Swift, this engine develops 81bhp of maximum power and 112Nm of peak torque. The gearbox options include a 5-speed manual and an AMT. For the uninitiated, Maruti Suzuki launched the CNG variant of the Swift in India in September. The petrol engine paired with a factory-installed CNG kit produces 69bhp and 101.8Nm. While there is no confirmation, the Dzire may also offer a CNG option, similar to its hatchback counterpart.
