Jason Kelce Playfully Shuts Down Wife Kylie Kelce’s Christmas Movie Request

Love actually isn’t all around at the Kelce house!

Jason Kelce and his younger brother Travis Kelce were quick to deny Kylie Kelce’s holiday-movie request when she called into the Wednesday, Dec. 4, episode of their New Heights podcast.

“I’m just calling because … I don’t have a need for relationship advice,” Kylie, 32, quipped in her message. “What I do need is to nominate a movie for the next movie review. I think it’s the holiday season, and that Love Actually is a tremendous movie that you could really sit down with your significant other and enjoy.”

Kylie, who’s currently pregnant with her and Jason’s fourth child, added some playful hints: “It’s not like one of your significant others hasn’t asked you to watch it multiple times and you said ‘no’ every time, so this would be a great excuse to get you to watch it. I hope you take this into consideration.”

However, the ESPN correspondent, 37, wasn’t having it, quickly denying his wife’s request by replying, “Love Actually, come on, Kylie!”

But Jason — who is already dad to daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 21 months — didn’t seem to be familiar with the 2003 holiday classic.

“Is that with Gerard Butler, is that what that is?” the former NFL star asked, with Travis, 35, quickly correcting him, “No, we’ve got Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson.”

“Liam Neeson, is that like a Taken film?” Jason asked. “I’d have been in if it was Taken.”

But upon learning that Love Actually was, in fact, nothing like a Taken movie, Jason changed tactics, saying, “I think we can both probably agree we’re not doing Love Actually. We’ll open it to a fan vote as always. There’s no favoritism played here, even for my own wife.”

Kylie wasn’t done pushing her request, though, telling her husband and brother-in-law that she was willing to appear on the podcast if they chose Love Actually as their film to review.

“I don’t think it really changes how we feel,” Travis said, laughing and going on to joke, “Don’t f—ing torture me. I’m an innocent bystander here, Ky. Don’t f—ing come for me.”

Jason recommended a compromise, suggesting that Kylie review the film on her Not Gonna Lie podcast and offering to appear on her show himself.

However, Travis, who met Love Actually star Grant at one of his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows, admitted that he has recently enjoyed watching the British actor’s films.

“I’m not gonna lie, I’ve watched two or three movies with Hugh since,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said, “and I f—ing love all of them. There’s something about knowing the guy, man.”

As for Kylie’s request, after some pressure from their podcast producer, Jason finally suggested a “double movie review” episode including Love Actually as well as a fan pick.
