MG Windsor Was India’s Best-Selling EV In November 2024, ET Auto

This is the second time that the Windsor has topped the sales chart.MG Windsor has again come on top as India’s highest-selling passenger electric four-wheeler. The recently launched EV clocked a total sales (wholesale) figure of 3,144 units in November 2024. This accounts for more than 30% share of India’s total electric car sales last month. This is the second time that the Windsor has topped the sales chart. In October 2024, MG sold 3,116 units of the Windsor, which was also the highest for the said month.

EVs comprised of 70% Of MG’s November sales
In November 2024, MG Motors India sold 6,019 cars, marking a 20% YoY increase. Of these, 70% were electric vehicles. Besides the Windsor, MG sells the Comet EV and the ZS EV in the Indian market.

The MG Windsor EV prices start from INR 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, you can also get it for INR 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) if you opt for MG’s ‘Battery-As-Service’ program. Under it, you will have to subscribe to the battery at a rate of INR 3.5 per km.

MG Windsor has a claimed range of 331 Km
The MG Windsor uses a 38 kWh battery pack, which, according to MG, can store enough juice for a range of 331 km. MG offers a single motor setup on the Windsor, which produces 136 hp and 200 Nm of peak torque. With a peak charging rate of 45 kWh, Windsor’s battery pack can charge from 0 to 80 percent in 55 minutes. Charging from 0 to 100 percent will take 14 hours with a 3.3 kWh charger and 6.5 hours with a 7.7 kWh charger.
