Chris Paul decorated Dick’s Sporting Goods for the holidays

This year Dick’s Sporting Goods created a friendly decorating competition between some Texas-based athletes.

Simone Biles, Dak Prescott, Quinn Evers, and Chris Paul fought for the title of DICK’S Holiday Decorating Officer in the Texas city they call home.

Each with their own flair- gold accents in Houston to celebrate Simone’s medals, a gingerbread football locker room in Dallas for Dak the QB, 12-foot basketball tree for Chris in San Antonio and Texas accents for Quinn in Austin.

There have been commercials and social media post throughout the season.

As it turns out, the Dick’s that Paul decorated is just a few minutes from my home, so my daughter and I took a trip to check it out.

There is a section (you can see the bicycles) where Paul added a Winter Wonderland complete with a tractor, trailer, and some unseasonable South Texas snow.

In the basketball section, Paul set up a cozy home with gift boxes, chimney, and mantle, a rocking chair, and some holiday accents on Spurs gear.

Adorning the rafters throughout are hanging snowflakes with a basketball for good measure.

And what Christmas decor could be complete without a tree. Paul’s, of course, is designed and built from basketballs.

If you are in San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, or Austin, be sure to check out the special store decorations.

And let us know who gets your vote for DICK’S Holiday Decorating Officer.
