Chief Adviser Yunus inaugurates 29th Trade Fair
Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus inaugurated the 29th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) on Wednesday at the Bangladesh China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal.
Professor Yunus emphasised the need to enhance country’s exports through the innovation of new products and stated that businessmen must take the initiative in this regard.
He also highlighted the importance of focusing on the service sector in addition to goods, as per local media reports.
According to sources from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), this year’s trade fair will feature 362 stalls and pavilions, including 11 companies from seven countries.
Special pavilions for various themes like “July-August Uprising” will be set up, alongside the Youth Pavilion, and there will be dedicated space for e-ticketing arrangements.
For the first time, stalls or pavilion spaces in different categories have been allocated online.
In addition, to facilitate the movement of visitors, a dedicated BRTA bus service will be provided, and Uber will also offer special discounts.
