Fourth ranked UMD women’s hockey shuts out #10 St. Cloud State in second straight game
The #4 UMD women’s hockey team is on fire, and Saturday proved that, as they took down #10 St. Cloud State 3-0 for the series sweep.
UMD didn’t allow a goal all weekend, thanks to Ève Gascon’s phenomenal goalie play. Gascon tallied 24 saves and her second straight shutout.
As for the offense, Zoey Krock got UMD on the board late in the second period, giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 advantage.
In the third period, Olivia Mobley found the back of the net twice, putting the game out of reach.
UMD now turns to face Ohio State on Friday, with puck drop set for 6:01 p.m.
