TÜV SÜD India Signs MoU with NATRAX for ISO/IEC 17025 Testing Solutions – Asia Pacific

TÜV SÜD has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NATRAX (National Automotive Test Tracks), a premier testing and certification agency recognized by the Government of India.

The MoU with NATRAX has been officially notified by the Government of India under Rule 126 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules.

This strategic collaboration enables TÜV SÜD to conduct EMI/EMC tests at its Bengaluru faciltity for automotive vehicles & components according to Indian automotive industry standards and further expands opportunities for manufacturing units across Delhi / NCR and other clusters across the country.

The results will be recognized by NATRAX for issuing Type Approval and Conformity of Production certificates to manufacturers seeking approval under Rule 126 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR).

Commenting on the collaboration, Ezhilan Neelan, Senior Vice President, Product Service Division at TÜV SÜD South Asia said, “This collaboration signifies a Public Private Partnership to offer the best in class EMI/EMC testing services at our state-of-the-art facility in Bengaluru. With this partnership, manufacturers of automotive vehicles & components from across India can further benefit from local & export homologations, providing an economical and timely pathway to access global markets.”

Dr. Manish Jaiswal, Director at NATRAX said, “This partnership not only provides a platform for auto manufacturers to test locally at TÜV SÜD’s facility and get Indian approvals, but also synergises the technical knowledge sharing between both organizations in the field of new and upcoming technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Software Defined Vehicles and Automotive Cyber Security among several others.”
