BMW launches first ‘Made in India’ electric SUV X1 at Rs 49 lakh, priced same as petrol, diesel variants

In a major reveal at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, BMW India launched first ‘Made in India’ electric vehicle for its popular model ‘X1’, priced at Rs 49 lakh. The car can be booked at BMW dealerships across India from today onwards.With major thrust on domestic production, the new launch was locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai.
