California fire victims deserve aid without politics

On the caustic internet we are starting to see spiteful comments about the Los Angeles fires, such as aid should be limited. I attribute those types of comments to red hats. Often mentioned is poor aid to North Carolina, but many in Carolina where so distrustful they rejected or where reluctant to accept aid. When I served during Vietnam I didn’t serve for a political party, I went because I felt it was my duty as a citizen! Every citizen in L.A. deserves the same assistance as any other U.S. citizen, to do otherwise is simply spiteful! Having been stationed in California I can think of dozens of reasons I did not stay. Not one of those reasons are good enough to treat disaster aid to California differently. When talking fires, let’s also remember a lot of California is federal forest and land.
