New Delhi – Vietnamese automaker VinFast has officially debuted in the Indian market, unveiling its first electric vehicles, the VF 7 and VF 6, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This significant launch underscores VinFast’s commitment to the burgeoning Indian electric vehicle (EV) sector, offering high-quality, smart, and modern products tailored to local needs.

The VF 7 and VF 6, both premium all-electric SUVs, are the first models VinFast is introducing to India. Notably, India will be the first market to receive right-hand drive versions of these vehicles. The launch highlights the company’s intent to cater to Indian consumers’ growing demand for eco-friendly and technologically advanced mobility solutions.

A Milestone for VinFast in India

Speaking at the unveiling, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, emphasized the importance of this launch: “Our presence at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 represents a significant milestone as we showcase our India-bound products here for the first time. We believe our premium SUVs, VF 7 and VF 6, are game changers that will accelerate the adoption of EVs in India. Mr. Ashwin Ashok Patil, Deputy CEO of Sales & Marketing at VinFast India, shared further details about the company’s strategy: “Our India-centric premium SUVs, VF 7 and VF 6, are expected to go on sale in the early second half of CY 2025. VinFast is actively appointing dealers across major towns in India with an omnichannel presence to enhance customer accessibility.”
