Kia Sales Jan 2025 – 5,546 Syros SUV Units Dispatched

One of the leading premium car manufacturers in India, Kia, has kick started the calendar year 2025 on a high note. The company’s latest model Syros was launched today and it had garnered a total of 5,546 units in January 2025. Overall sales performance from Kia in January 2025 was positive as we further break down the numbers.

In the month of January 2025, Kia dispatched a total of 25,025 units. The company is using the term dispatched as the numbers from Kia Syros are included in this total figure. Speaking of, Syros was launched earlier today, for an attractive starting price of Rs 8.99 lakh (Ex-sh) and takes on other sub 4m SUVs like Nexon, Brezza, Venue, XUV3XO and Kia’s own Sonet.

Sticking with dispatched units, Kia managed to send 25,025 units in January 2025 in the domestic market. When compared to the 23,769 units from January 2024, we can see that Kia registered positive YoY growth of 5% with a volume growth of 1,256 units. When compared to the 8,957 units from December 2024, last month’s sales saw a significant growth.

Breaking down the numbers, we have Kia Sonet at the top as it sold 7,194 units in January 2025, followed by Seltos at 6,470 units sold last month. The newly launched Kia Syros took third position on this list as it saw 5,546 dispatches last month. In fourth place, we have Carens with 5,522 units sold and followed by Carnival at 293 units.

Kia India Mainstream Portfolio

Without the 5,546 Syros units dispatched, Kia sold a total of 19,479 units last month. This is a great number and Syros is expected to make a bigger impact in sales in the coming months, now that the prices are out. Where exports are concerned, Kia shipped 1,454 units from India to 70 international markets, positioning Indian facilities as an important export hub.
