‘Idly Kadai’: First look of Arun Vijay from Dhanush, Nithya Menen’s film out
We had previously reported that actor-director Dhanush’s next is a film titled Idly Kadai, which also features hisThiruchitrambalam co-star Nithya Menen in the lead.
Earlier this month, the makers unveiled the first look posters of the film. One of the posters featured Dhanush, in a rural look, with idli containers, while the other features him as a young boy next to actor Rajkiran, who starred in the lead in Dhanush’s directorial debut, Pa Paandi.
Today, the makers of the film confirmed Arun Vijay’s inclusion in the project with a first-look poster. The image features Arun Vijay as a boxer in a boxing ring with Dhanush standing beside him. Taking to X, Arun Vijay called the film a “high-voltage entertainer that will leave everyone stunned”.

Idli Kadai is Dhanush’s fourth directorial project. With music scored by GV Prakash Kumar, the film has cinematography by Kiran Koushik and editing by Prasanna GK.
Details regarding the plot and the rest of the cast are yet to be announced. Dhanush and Nithya Menen are reuniting in the film after the hit family drama Thiruchitrambalam, for which Nithya won the National Award for Best Actor in a Female Lead.
Produced by the actor’s Wunderbar Films in association with Aakash Baskaran’s Dawn Pictures, the film is set to release on April 10.
Meanwhile, Dhanush is awaiting the release of his third film as a director. Titled Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, the movie stars Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Anikha Surendran and Rabiya Khatoon.
Notably, Dhanush’s line-up of films also includes Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera, also starring Rashmika Mandanna and Akkineni Nagarjuna, and an untitled film with Rajkumar Periasamy of Amaran fame. Dhanush was last seen in his second directorial and 50th film, Raayan.
