stocks in ban: F&O Ban List: Granules India, SAIL among 11 stocks under trade ban on Monday
Eleven stocks are under F&O trade ban on Monday viz. Aarti Industries, Biocon, Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals (GNFC), Granules India, LIC Housing Finance, National Aluminium Company, Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS), Punjab National Bank (PNB), RBL Bank and Steel Authority of India (SAIL)
The Future & Options contracts of any stock enter the ban period when the open interest (OI) on it crosses 95% of the market-wide positions limits or MWPL. The ban on it is reversed only if the open interest falls below 80%.
Traders who trade in indexes do not encounter a security ban.
The MWPL for Aarti Industries stood at 84.5% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 15.9 million. It was down 2.9% from the previous session.
For Biocon, the MWPL stood at 91.3% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 33.3 million. It was down 3.4% from the previous session.
The MWPL for Chambal Fertilizers stood at 97.4% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 10.1 million. It was down 8.7% from the previous session.For GNFC, the MWPL stood at 97.4% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 6.2 million. It was down 2.8 % from the previous session.The MWPL for Granules India stood at 163.2% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 11.8 million. It was down 2.7% from the previous session.
The MWPL for LIC Housing stood at 87.2% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 26.3 million. It was down by 1.3% from the previous session.
MWPL for NALCO stood at 89.3% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 80.9 million. It was down 6.8% from the previous session.
The MWPL for OFSS stood at 99.2% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 1.1 million. It was down 10.5% from the previous session.
The MWPL for PNB stood at 88.6% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 259.8 million. It was down 2.5% from the previous session.
The MWPL for RBL Bank stood at 80% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 70.8 million. It was down 0.9% from the previous session.
The MWPL for SAIL stood at 105.3% on Friday with OI reported by Trendlyne at 132.9 million. It was down 3.9% from the previous session.
Indian headline indices smashed fresh record highs on Friday catapulted by heavyweights ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank, which contributed the most to the respective index. They took positive cues from global and Asian markets amid the onset of a monetary easing policy by the US Fed.
The S&P BSE Sensex hit a lifetime high of 84,694.46 before ending the session at 84,544.31, which was a 1,359 points or 1.63% lead over the last closing. The broader Nifty50 settled at 25,790.95, gaining by 375.15 points or 1.48%. The 50-stock index today hit a fresh all-time high of 25,849.25.
