A dramatic overtime win kept the Minot State University (MSU) men’s hockey team atop the ACHA rankings, while the MSU women’s hockey team slipped one spot despite a weekend road sweep.

The No. 1-ranked MSU men’s hockey team scored a 3-2 comeback win in overtime at No. 5 Jamestown on Friday which helped the Beavers remain No. 1 in this week’s American College Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I national poll.

The MSU women’s hockey team slipped one spot to No. 6 in the current women’s ACHA Division I national poll despite a sweep of host Minnesota, 3-0 and 8-1, over the weekend.

The Minot State men (29-4-1 overall, 22-1-0 MCH) are back on home ice this weekend to host No. 9 Maryville on Friday and Saturday at the Maysa Arena with puck-drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m. both nights.
