US-based confluent partners with Jio platforms, to develop GenAI use cases in India, ET BrandEquity

US-headquartered data streaming company Confluent has partnered with Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) to drive the development of real-time and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) use cases in India.

“Confluent, Inc.. the data streaming pioneer, today announced it has signed a strategic partnership with Jio Platforms Limited for Jio Cloud Services,” the NASDAQ-listed firm said on Tuesday.

Data streaming is the continuous flow of data as it is generated, enabling real-time processing and analysis for immediate insights.

Under the partnership, Confluent Cloud will become available on Jio Cloud Services, allowing businesses across India to use data streaming. Confluent Cloud is already available on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

Furthermore, the Confluent Platform will be offered as a managed service for the country’s consumers and enterprises, including the public sector, delivering enterprise-grade security and governance needed to ensure trusted, secure data at large scales.

In a study conducted last year, the California-based company said 94% of IT leaders in India say data streaming platforms bring new products to market faster, and 95% believe they can lead to more innovation in AI development.
