Cambridge University Press, OAQHE sign MoU to boost education quality
MUSCAT: Cambridge University Press & Assessment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Oman Association for Quality in Higher Education (OAQHE), aimed at enhancing the quality of higher education in Oman. The agreement, under the auspices of Prof Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, was formalised during the Cambridge Experience in Higher Education event in Muscat recently.
This collaboration will focus on strengthening English language proficiency through initiatives like the Cambridge English Skills Test and Linguaskill, with tailored solutions for students and educators. Both organisations are committed to supporting academic excellence in alignment with Oman’s Vision 2040.
Natasha Arain, Commercial Director for the Middle East and Africa Region at Cambridge, expressed excitement over the partnership, emphasizing its potential to improve English language standards in Omani higher education. Prof Ali Al Badi, Chairman of OAQHE, outlined key objectives: enhancing language tools, developing innovative educational solutions, conducting joint research, and forming a committee for sustained progress.
This partnership is set to play a pivotal role in advancing Oman’s educational landscape.
