WATCH: Caribbean Education in Crisis: Prime Minister Responds to World Bank Concerns
Prime Minister Gaston Browne has expressed his agreement with the World Bank’s recent assessment of the Caribbean’s education system, which has been described as being in a state of crisis.
During a virtual webinar last week, World Bank officials highlighted the systemic inadequacies that are currently undermining educational outcomes across the region.
They pointed to outdated teaching methods, insufficient infrastructure, and growing educational inequities as critical issues requiring immediate attention.
In light of these concerns, the Prime Minister emphasized the urgent need for reforms, stating that substantial financial investment and enhanced support for teachers are essential to reversing the declining standards in education.
