This holiday was a perfect mix of doing things while also doing nothing. We learnt it was the “off-season” only after we landed in Phuket. By the end of it, I can confirm that a trip to Thailand in July should be a no-brainer. Here’s a perfect five-day itinerary based on our experience, including Phuket and Koh Samui.

InterContinental Phuket Resort.
Landed in Phuket
The taxi charges at the airport and outside were the same and after grabbing some supplies from ‘Seven Eleven’, we headed straight to our hotel, InterContinental Phuket Resort.

Checked-in
We wash and change and head straight to a beach shack about 10 minutes from our hotel, have some sea food and tropical drinks, followed by a massage to get into the zone.

Day 1
A power nap and an outfit change later, we head to the Pine beach bar at our resort for some beachfront cocktails and the yummiest truffle pizza of our lives! We then head to the Bangla road for a casual stroll.

Day 2
Next morning, we change into our swimsuits and chill by the beach, take a nap and head to Phuket Old Town. The Sunday street market and the Michelin-starred One Chun restaurant were totally worth it.

Day 2 & 3
We wrapped up Day 2 at the Maya beach club, which was next to our hotel. The next day, we flew to paradise AKA Koh Samui. We checked into our hotel, The Library. I headed for the viral head massage, which wasn’t that great, tbh.

Day 3 & 4
We tried room service for dinner as we were too tired. Next morning, we headed straight to the beach as we wanted to try Jet Skiing, which I totally recommend. In the evening, we rent a scooter and head out to explore the island.

Day 4 & 5
Be it the ‘shake station’ at ‘Seven Eleven’ or the coffee shots at ‘Day & Night’, Surat Thani, our last day in Koh Samui couldn’t get better. We couldn’t have ended the trip without witnessing their traditional martial art, Muay Thai and so, that was our last stop.
