AbhiBus enables bookings for India’s first women-only intercity bus service, ET Auto

YoloBus aims to offer a safer and more convenient travel experience for female passengers, with a female conductor onboard to provide added assistance and comfort.AbhiBus (ixigo bus business), one of India’s leading bus ticketing platform, is now facilitating bookings for India’s first women-only intercity bus service, launched by YoloBus. The YoloBus service, exclusive for women, will operate on the Gurgaon-Chandigarh route starting March 8, 2025.

Launching on International Women’s Day

Launching on International Women’s Day, YoloBus aims to offer a safer and more convenient travel experience for female passengers, with a female conductor onboard to provide added assistance and comfort.

Rohit Sharma, chief operating officer, AbhiBus, added, “At AbhiBus, we are committed to making bus travel safer and more convenient for women. Over the last three months, we have seen a 54 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in bookings by female travellers, with solo female traveller bookings up by 50 per cent YoY.”

“The launch of the women-only YoloBus service aligns with our ongoing efforts to empower female travellers, including our Pink Seat feature, which reserves dedicated seats for women across multiple routes,” Sharma added.

Sanjay Jadoun, chief executive officer, YoloBus, said, “Launching this service on Women’s Day is our way of celebrating and empowering female travellers with a more secure and reliable intercity travel option. Through AbhiBus, women can easily access this service and book their journeys seamlessly on the platform. We believe this initiative will set a new benchmark in intercity travel.”
