‘After the Storm Music Festival’ held in Selmer

SELMER, Tenn.—One local music festival aims to help those affected by the recent tornado.

The ‘After the Storm Music Festival’ was held in Selmer Saturday.

The event began at noon and continues until 9 in the evening at Selmer City Park.

The music festival includes a variety of artists performing.

Some of the acts include bluegrass, country, blues, gospel, and classic rock bands.

The event offers free food from Retro Dawgs and other vendors present.

The festival is also being streamed live on social media for those unable to attend.

Anyone interested in making donations can do so in person or by scanning the unique QR code available.

“The QR code that’s on our event flyer, it’s actually to a go fund me account that’s already raised over $4,700. We’re hoping, fingers crossed, that we can get to ten thousand. If we don’t today, we’re going to continue to have that running,” said Jessica Huff, Executive Director for McNairy Chamber of Commerce.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Tornado Emergency Relief efforts for the area.
