Ahaan Panday’s Debut Roars Past Rs 45 Crore, Beats Other Star Kids’ Films
After just two days in theatres, Saiyaara—the romantic drama marking the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda—is showing no signs of slowing down. According to early estimates reported by Sacnilk.com, the film collected ₹24 crore on Saturday, adding to its impressive ₹21 crore Friday opening. The total now stands at ₹45 crore.
With strong word of mouth and a buzz-worthy reception, Saiyaara is poised for a historic opening weekend. The Hindi-language film also recorded an overall occupancy of 51.24% on Saturday, signaling widespread interest and repeat viewings.
Saiyaara Smashing Past Other Star Kids’ Debuts
Saiyaara has already surpassed the lifetime theatrical runs of other Gen Z or nepo-kid launches. For comparison, Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan’s Loveyaapa, which released earlier this year, only earned ₹6.8 crore in total. Similarly, Rasha Thadani’s debut film Azaad brought in ₹6.5 crore.
Even Jigra, starring Vedang Raina alongside powerhouse Alia Bhatt, finished with ₹30 crore after a three-week run. Saiyaara managed to zoom past that figure in under 48 hours, placing it well ahead in the Gen Z box office race.

Biggest Opening for a Debut Film
Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara has become the highest opening day grosser for a debutant-led movie. The film, which hit 8,000 screens across India, also marks Suri’s career-best opening.
“YRF & Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara has a historic opening for a debutant film with ₹21.25 crore in India on Day 1,” read an official statement by the production house.
The film also features actress Aneet Padda, known for her work in Big Girls Don’t Cry and Salaam Venky. With this strong start, all eyes are now on whether Saiyaara can cross the ₹100 crore mark by the end of its first week.
