Ahmed Malek becomes Dior’s first Arab ambassador for fashion and perfumes

Dior announced it has chosen Egyptian actor Ahmed Malek as its regional ambassador for its fashion and perfumes in the Middle East, becoming the first Arab in the position.

The move comes to strengthen the connection of the French house with the Arab region.

The artistic director of men’s fashion at Dior, Kim Jones in a statement explained that Malek was chosen because he embodies the spirit of Dior’s style, and will adequately portray the company’s boldness and creativity within the Middle East.

Dior also shared several photos of the Egyptian star wearing several of its signature suits.

In December, Dior organized a fashion show at the Giza pyramids.

Malek, who was previously selected by Screen Daily magazine in 2017 among the Arab Stars of Tomorrow, has raked in numerous awards through his career of over 25 films.

He joined the cast of the 13-episode series “Tahqiq” (investigation), broadcast on “WATCH iT” platform, in addition to “Nasl al-Aghrab” (Children of Strangers) with Ahmed al-Sakka and Amir Karara during Ramadan 2021.

Malek also starred in the movie “Qamar 14” with director Hadi al-Bagouri in addition to “Kira wal Gen” (Kira and Gen) based on the bestselling novel “1919” by Ahmed Mourad.
