Akoya Hotel & Spa, a luxury five-star resort in Reunion Island, has announced the appointment of Global Destinations as its sales and marketing representative for the Indian market. The partnership marks a strategic expansion for the Indian Ocean property as it looks to tap into India’s growing segment of long-haul luxury travellers.

Global Destinations will be tasked with promoting Akoya Hotel & Spa to key travel agents, tour operators, and corporate clients across India. The move reflects Reunion’s ambition to position itself as a premium leisure and MICE destination for Indian audiences.

Located on the west coast of Reunion Island, Akoya Hotel & Spa features 104 rooms and suites, each with views of either the ocean or tropical gardens. Its facilities include an infinity-edge pool, multiple dining outlets, and the L’Orchidee Spa, which offers wellness therapies inspired by Ayurveda and local botanical traditions. The hotel also provides access to island excursions, beaches, and hiking trails, catering to both relaxation seekers and soft adventure enthusiasts.
