Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty’s film to re-release on its 25th anniversary? Producer reacts

Hera Pheri is one of the most memorable comedy films of all time. Starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty in lead roles, the comic caper hit the big screen on March 31, 2000. As the film is nearing its 25th anniversary, producer Firoz A Nadiadwallah revealed whether he plans to bring it back in the theatres. This is also a time when lots of Hindi movies are being re-released in theatres. And if Hera Pheri makes a comeback, it will be surely a treat for the cinelovers!

Firoz A Nadiadwallah on Hera Pheri re-release

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Firoz A Nadiadwallah said he won’t decide Hera Pheri’s re-release alone. The producer said, “On paper, I am the owner of the film, but morally, Akshay ji, Paresh ji and Suniel ji also own the film as much (smiles). So, we’ll jointly take the decision.”

Nadiadwallah is confident about the fact Hera Pheri will work well at the box office whenever it re-releases in theatres. The producer mentioned that Phir Hera Pheri will also complete 19 years in 2025. However, the team has never made any conscious or monetary effort to keep it. He believes that it has happened organically.

The producer also credited writer Neeraj Vora for the film’s relevance over the years. “It all happened due to the innocence aided by the witty and humorous dialogues of Neeraj ji. What we all learned from him is that what you are saying is definitely important, but how you’re saying is more important. Neeraj taught us and the film industry this valuable lesson,” he added.
