Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited disclosed that Alka Bharucha concluded her second consecutive term as an Independent Director on March 30, 2025, as per a regulatory filing. Consequently, her tenure ended effective that day.

Bharucha, a seasoned legal professional, began her career at Mulla & Mulla & Craigie Blunt & Caroe. She later became a partner at Amarchand & Mangaldas and Suresh A. Shroff & Co. in 1992, before co-founding Bharucha & Partners in 2008.

A solicitor of the Bombay High Court and the High Court of England and Wales, and an Advocate on Record at the Supreme Court of India, Bharucha brings extensive expertise in Mergers and Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Private Equity, Banking, and Finance.

Her current board positions include Independent Directorships at UltraTech Cement Limited, Hindalco Industries Limited, Orient Electric Limited, and The India Cements Limited. She also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Safalya Investments and Traders Private Limited.
