A&M’s Farquharson earns sliver at World Athletics Indoors | Track & Field
Texas A&M’s Kimar Farquharson earned a silver medal as part of Team Jamaica’s men’s 4×400-meter squad on the final day of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Sunday at the Nanjing Sports Training Centre in China.
The medal is Farquharson’s first senior international medal for Jamaica.
He ran the third and what ended up being the fastest leg for Team Jamaica in 45.41 seconds.
Farquharson wasn’t the only Aggie in action as Brandon Miller took fifth in the men’s 800 in 1:46.44. Timara Chapman made her international debut in the women’s pentathlon and finished in fifth, while Will Williams finished in 11th in the men’s long jump with a clearance of 25 feet, 5.5 inches.
