Anitta enjoys a trip to Iceland after parting ways with her record company Warner Music Group
Brazilian singer Anitta looked blissful as she enjoyed a scenic getaway to Iceland on Wednesday morning, after announcing she parted ways with Warner Music Group.
One month after accusing the record label of ‘not promoting her music’ in explosive social media posts, the 30-year-old performer gave fans a glimpse of her latest trip as she explored cliffs overlooking the ocean.
‘When you think your vacations can’t get better,’ she captioned a slideshow of snaps that showed her rocking a white Adidas sports bra, black leggings, oversized shades and a padded jacket with a furry hood.
In the first image, she beamed at the camera while posing with her legs dangling over the sea as she perched on the edge a cliff.
Next, she posed among the rocks, before retreating back to her hotel, with views of the Blue Lagoon.

On Tuesday, she issued a joint statement with her record label about their decision to split after 11 years together via Instagram.
‘After eleven years of successful partnership, we’ve agreed to go our separate ways,’ she began. ‘Anitta would like to thank the Warner Music team for all their support. And the Warner team wishes Anitta all the best in future.’
The split will come as no surprise to fans of the Boys Don’t Cry hitmaker, who has campaigned to be released from her contract with the company for many months.

She took to social media last month to share thinly-veiled digs at the company, writing on Twitter: ‘When you’re young and still don’t know much, you have to pay close attention to the things you sign.’
On International Women’s Day on March 8, she took umbrage at WMG sharing a post dedicated to her, writing: ‘Communication at Warner is so good that [they’re] posting me on a Happy women’s day looping post, even tho I had to go public to ask for the ‘woman respect’ that this date represents.
She claimed the Warner post was ‘using [as] background the song they said would never break without a feat cuz I wasn’t strong enough for that’ – referring to her 2022 hit Envolver and the record label’s alleged desire to bring on a known guest artist.

The song reached 500million Spotify streams but failed to make an impact in the USA.
She also shared a screenshot of an email sent to an unidentified CEO of one of Warner’s music divisions which saw the star state that she had to ‘repeatedly had to ask the label to do things you are supposed to naturally do’.
Her post read: ‘Respect me instead of sending your lawyers to talk to mine about money… I already accepted the sad unfair fact that I’m the major investor here and asked the label to just do the simple job they were supposed to: promote my music.’
2022 was a huge year for the veteran pop star. She released a full studio album in April titled Versions of Me as well as the EP À Procura da Anitta Perfeita in November.

Anitta released a number of singles as well last year. Boys Don’t Cry was perhaps her most popular, going double Platinum in Brazil according to the organization Pro-Música Brasil.
Anitta received her first Grammys nod for her work this year for Best New Artist. She was nominated alongside a long list of performers including Omar Apollo and Måneskin as well as a number of other bands and artists.
Last year, she also made a show-stopping appearance wearing sultry lingerie as she performed in Rihanna’s extravagant Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 fashion show.
