Anne Hathaway Swaps Andy Sachs’s Chanel Boots for Chanel Sandals
Last time we saw Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway), protagonist of The Devil Wears Prada, she was interviewing for a journalism job in a much more sophisticated outfit than any she’d owned at the start of her journey, indicating that her time at a fashion magazine had given her an appreciation for self-presentation. And it looks like when she returns to the big screen, she will be taking those sartorial lessons with her.
In The Devil Wears Prada 2, now filming, Hathaway appears to be juggling a few trends du jour, including long beachy waves, dark shades, a stark white racerback tank, and a full-length denim skirt. Oh, what’s that? You think a full-length denim skirt isn’t a particularly fashionista-y choice? That it somehow exempts her from this…stuff? I think you know what monologue has a thing to say about that!

Yes, the woman who once destroyed her assistant competition by slipping on The Chanel Boots is now wearing Some Chanel Sandals. The more things change…
I can’t help but notice that she appears to be holding some kind of tabloid that is surely a prop meant to deliver exposition or make us believe that TDWP2 takes place in a universe where print media still matters, which, fair enough.
