Anya Taylor-Joy Takes Flight in an Ethereal Dior Minidress

Anya Taylor-Joy has turned fashion into her playground throughout her latest press tour, stepping out to promote her new action movie in looks that elicited power and momentum: a ginormous fur McQueen coat, a long Celine cape, a black bubble miniskirt, and a reused suede weekender bag being among some of the highlights. Now, the actor’s playful fashion streak continued on Wednesday at the Los Angeles premiere for The Gorge.

For the special event, Taylor-Joy tapped Dior, slipping into a sleek strapless minidress made of ivory wool and silk. Attached to the back of the dress was a matching white cape, constructed out of accordion-pleated organza. On the red carpet, Taylor-Joy lifted the edges of the cape, a pose that resembled a bird mid-flight. She completed her look with a pair of white satin strappy sandals from Jimmy Choo, Tiffany and Co. diamond earrings, and a long diamond necklace that settled on her décolletage and cascaded down her back.

As an ambassador for Dior, it’s only fitting that Taylor-Joy has historically relied on the French fashion house for some of her biggest fashion moments to date. She has favored the brand for major high-profile events, like the Emmys and the Golden Globes, and is a regular fixture on the front row for their runway collections.

Taylor-Joy was anointed as a celebrity ambassador back in 2021. “Anya will partner with the brand, celebrating the iconic heritage of Dior,” the house said in a statement at the time.
