Apple (AAPL) CEO Tim Cook says the company is ‘open to M&A that accelerates our roadmap’
As the AI boom continues, Tim Cook is open to the idea of ramping up mergers and acquisitions.
Apple (AAPL) has as much cash on hand as anyone else in the tech business, and with that capital comes the possibility of major acquisitions and mergers. Apple CEO Tim Cook spoke about the possibility of doing exactly that to increase its position in the AI race, and said that he’s open to it.
Apple CEO Tim Cook sat down with CNBC for an interview that coincided with the release of the company’s Q3 2025 earnings report. When asked about the possibility of future acquisitions, Cook said that “we’re open to M&A that accelerates our roadmap.” He also confirmed that Apple has acquired seven companies this year.
