Armenian Deputy PM, World Bank representatives discuss key areas of  collaboration

ArmInfo. During a meeting with a World Bank delegation, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran 
Khachatryan emphasized the importance of collaboration in areas such as the local economy, infrastructure, agriculture and water management.

As reported by the press service of the Armenian government, 
Khachatryan highlighted the significant role of the WB in  
implementing programs for the country’s sustainable development noted 
in this regard during a meeting with Sameh Vahba, World Bank Regional 
Director for Sustainable Development in Europe and Central Asia, and 
Regional Director for the South Caucasus Roland Pryse.

The meeting also addressed a wide range of issues related to climate 
change and its impact on sustainable development. Special focus was 
given to the “Climate and Development Report for Armenia” prepared by 
the World Bank, which serves as a key tool for enhancing the 
country’s climate resilience. Both parties agreed to continue 
discussions on the priority actions outlined in the report  to 
identify effective mechanisms for implementation.
