Arshad Nadeem honored with Asian Athlete of the year award

LAHORE   –   Pakistan’s iconic javelin thrower and Olympic medalist, Arshad Nadeem, has been bestowed with the prestigious title of Best Male Athlete of Asia by the Asian Athletics Association. The award was formally presented during the Association’s high-profile meeting held in South Korea, where top athletics officials from across the continent were present. Representing Pakistan at the ceremony were Chairman of South Asian Athletics and senior official of the Asian Athletics Association, Maj Gen (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi, and President of Athletics Federation of Pakistan, Brig (R) Wajahat Hussain Sahi, Secretary Col (R) Shah Jehan and Salman Iqbal Butt also attended the event to support and celebrate the national hero. Arshad Nadeem took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share the joyous moment with his followers. “Today, I was honoured to receive the ‘Best Male Athlete of Asia’ award by Asian Athletics. I am humbled and recharged to give even better performances in the future.”

Arshad’s latest achievement comes on the heels of a series of historic milestones in his career. Most notably, he was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan’s second-highest civilian honour, by President Asif Ali Zardari in recognition of his stellar performance at the Paris Olympics 2024, where he earned the country a coveted Olympic medal.

Club officials, including President Afzal Ahmed and Qaiser Khan, are consistently working towards the welfare and development of their players, providing them with the platform and support needed to excel.
