Art, science collaborate in latest exhibit at Tidal Gallery – Times-Standard
Tidal Gallery will host a closing reception for “Correlated & Entangled,” the latest solo exhibition by accomplished artist and interdisciplinary educator Anne Bown-Crawford, on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. This event offers audiences a final opportunity to experience the exhibition and engage directly with the artist in conversation about her work.
On view since July 30, “Correlated & Entangled” bridges the worlds of scientific inquiry and artistic expression. The installation grows out of Bown-Crawford’s role as artist-in-residence at Google Quantum AI Lab, where she collaborates with leading scientists in the field of quantum computing. The resulting works invite viewers into a dialogue that reflects the complexity of this dynamic exchange between art and science.
Bown-Crawford’s wide-ranging career as an educator, policy leader and new media artist continues to inform her creative practice. Alongside her work at Google, she also serves as a senior consultant for California State Parks’ Arts in Parks program, where she integrates art and nature to foster cultural enrichment alongside environmental stewardship.
Saturday’s closing reception provides an opportunity to reflect on “Correlated & Entangled” before the exhibition concludes on Sept. 30. Guests are encouraged to attend, connect with the artist and celebrate the culmination of this two-month showcase.
