Indian men’s cricket team will travel to the United Arab Emirates in September to play the 2025 Asia Cup. Indian men’s cricket team will start their campaign on September 10 against the UAE in Dubai and then arch-rivals Pakistan in their second Group A match on Sunday, September 14 in the Asia Cup 2025.
Where and when is India vs Pakistan?
India’s previous T20I match was played against Pakistan on June 9, 2024, at New York in the T20 World Cup 2024. The India-Pakistan game in Dubai on September 14 is also likely to go ahead as scheduled by the Asia Cup committee despite strained relations between the two countries.
What do Indian fans want?
The majority of Indian supporters believe that Men in Blue do not have to play against Pakistan and can just leave the game like India Champion players did in the recently concluded World Championship of Legends.
Why India vs Pakistan will not be cancelled?
But according to Subhan Ahmed, chief operating officer of Emirates Cricket Board, the same is not going to happen in the Asia Cup.
“We can’t make any guarantees, but comparing the Asia Cup against a private event like the WCL is not a like comparison,” Subhan was quoted as saying by The National.
“When decisions to play in the Asia Cup are taken, government permissions are taken in advance. That has definitely been done before arriving at the decision of announcing the schedule for the countries. So hopefully we won’t be in a situation as there was at the WCL,” he added.
