Sheridan HS Football: Sheridan High School football players can put the pads on for the first time tomorrow, until then the team is working on the basics and keeping it easy.

The coaching staff doesn’t have all the numbers just yet, but says there’s a large group of seniors coming back this season, who would like to make this their 4th straight state championship, and 5th straight overall for the team.

Senior Rudy Green says the hard part for now was getting that first practice out of the way and dealing with the pre-season aches and pains, but once that’s out of the way, the team’s confidence can move upward.

Senior Breck Reed says the first practice is where players learned about themselves physically, and re-learned how to enjoy the game.

The Broncs’ first game of the 2025 season is on Friday, August 29th at Cheyenne South.

University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys are now halfway through from the time they started practice, to the time the team plays its first game.

Tomorrow the team will have an open scrimmage beginning at 7:30pm.

Head Coach Jay Sawvel says the time is about right for the new players to experience what it’s like in Laramie.

The first game for the Pokes is 2 weeks from tomorrow at Akron.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies snapped their 8-game skid by winning last night at St. Louis 3-zip.

Hunter Goodman hit a 2-run home run for the cause and starting pitcher Kyle Freeland went 7 1/3rd innings.

The Rocks will try to make it 2 out of 3 against the Cardinals today starting at 12:15pm.

After that, Colorado will return to Denver for an 8-game homestand beginning tomorrow.
