August 2025 Car Sales: Toyota Registers 11 Increase With 34,000 Units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported an 11 per cent year-on-year rise in sales for August, delivering 34,236 units compared to 30,879 units in the same month last year. Of the total, domestic wholesales accounted for 29,302 units, while exports stood at 4,934 units.

In August, Toyota celebrated the Innova’s 20th anniversary in India, with the MPV crossing 12 lakh customers since launch. The company also updated the Urban Cruiser Taisor with a new Bluish Black colour and made six airbags standard across all variants. Additionally, it introduced the Camry Hybrid Electric Vehicle: Sprint Edition, offering a sportier version of its luxury hybrid sedan.

TKM Vice President of Sales, Service and Used Car Business, Varinder Wadhwa, said the company maintained its performance through August and will be watching market developments closely in September. He added that the festive season will see a focus on new services aimed at supporting customer sentiment and simplifying purchase decisions.
