Austin Chronicle’s Austin Music Awards to celebrate diverse local sounds

AUSTIN, Texas — From electric post-punk to Americana, blues, honky tonk, and everything in between, the upcoming Austin Music Awards presented by the Austin Chronicle promises to be more than just an iconic tradition. They are a true celebration of the city’s vibrant local music scene.

Carys Anderson from the Austin Chronicle and red carpet host Kevin Curtin are gearing up for the event and joined Trevor Scott on the show with details.

Anderson said, “If you look at the paper this week, on Thursday, the winners will be announced their little sneak peek for the awards. So you get to know you got to have a physical copy. “

Curtin added, “Austin has a vibrant music scene, and if you go out to shows and stay out until 2:00 Am every night, you know that, but you can kind of get a condensed view of it. At the Austin Music Awards, you can kind of check the heartbeat of what is going on right now, but what’s really cool is they also honor things that have happened in the past year. “

The Austin Music Awards continue to be a highlight for both musicians and fans, bringing the community together to honor the city’s rich musical heritage.
