‘Approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes to 4 hours’– is the time that is usually taken by a flight that flies from Bengaluru to Dubai. Sure sounds like a long journey– but then, shouldn’t it be long? It’s from one country to another, after all. However, what if we tell you that Bengaluru’s traffic scenes are so bizarre that this ‘lengthy-sounding’ journey is still seemingly shorter in comparison to travelling from Bengaluru TO Bengaluru! Taking to social media, a woman shared a rather shocking incident that happened with her. As per the post, she had dropped off her friend at the airport for her Bengaluru to Dubai flight. After the drop off, both headed towards their destinations. However, despite travelling to another country, it was the friend who reached her destination first!

Yes, believe it or not, the woman’s friend reached Dubai, but the woman herself was still stuck in traffic. Talk about things being ‘peak Bengaluru’. The post went viral and began to pull many reactions. Most found the incident concerning, while some pointed out the urgent need to revamp the city’s traffic system.

“Based on true incidents,” the post read.

The video was shared on Instagram, by the handle ‘travel_foodie_gals’. The post was shared a while back and pulled many views from people.

Check out the viral post:

“At this point I would rather walk,” a user said. “THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED TO ME. My parents dropped me at the airport and they reached home at the same time as I landed in Delhi,” recalled a second person.

“In Bangalore 1km by car = 3 hours and 1km by walk = 10 minutes,” commented a third person. “What if someone had an emergency in it,” added a fourth person. “Honestly Bangalore needs an elaborate public transport system or else this will keep increasing,” suggested the next.

“Bro I’m not even kidding, this actually happened to me. My sister was leaving for Mangalore. She boarded at the last minute and she had already reached Mangalore and I was still now home (not even exaggerating),” wrote another.
