Bank of India announces apprenticeship recruitment for 2024-25, apprenticeship recruitment, bank of india, application, candidate, applicant, state
Bank of India; Star House, Plot C-5, ‘G’ Block, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400 051; has notified the engagement of Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961 for 2024-25.
The State-wise/category wise vacancy is given in the Notification at (Careers link). An applicant can apply for engagement in one state and one Zone within that State only. Those applying for vacancies of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in any one of the local languages of that state (to be specified at the time of calling the applications).

Applicant must be a citizen of India. Applicant should be at least 20 years of age and not more than 28 years as on 01.01.2025. Applicant must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1997 and not later than 01.01.2005 (both days inclusive).
Age relaxation: SC/ST is 5 years; Other Backward Classes (NCL)- 3 years; PwBD-10 years.
Educational Qualification: Applicant must possess a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualifications recognized by central government. Applicant should have passed graduation degree between 01.04.2021 and 01.01.2025.
Selection: Selection would be based on (i) online written test and (ii) test of local language.
Online Examination of 90 minutes duration will have 25 questions each of 1 mark from (i) General / Financial Awareness (ii) English Language (iii) Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude (iv) Computer Knowledge. The minimum qualifying marks for General/EWS Category candidates will be decided by Bank at its sole discretion. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD, filling in vacancies reserved for the relevant category, will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks in relation to that stipulated for general category candidates. The test of local language will be conducted for those qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprenticeship.
Stipend: The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs.12000/- per month for the engagement period of one year. Stipend per month to be paid by the Bank will be Rs. 7500/- and Govt. of India’s stipendiary support will be Rs. 4500/-. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/benefits.
Application: Applications are to be submitted online at by 15.03.2025.
Application Fees: Application/Intimation fee for PwBD candidates is Rs.400/-, for Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe / All Women candidates; Rs.600/- and for all Other Candidates; Rs. 800/-.
