Bayview Sport Club hosts friendship football tournament

VARIOUS soccer teams participated in the friendship tournament held at the Bayview Sport Club on The Bluff recently.

Teams from near and far competed, creating an atmosphere filled with friendly competition and sporting camaraderie.

Cherrians Old Boys emerged victorious with a 3-0 win over Leeds FC from Johannesburg. The game showcased some exceptional talent, with both teams giving their all on the field.

Kerwyn “Cubby” Jackson, playing for the over-35s team, stole the spotlight with his remarkable skills. Known for his exceptional skills and his mental agility, Jackson dazzled spectators as he skillfully dribbled past his opponents in an attempt to add more points to the scoreboard for his team. His performance was a testament to his years of experience and passion for the beautiful game.

The tournament was more than just a competition as teams coming from Gauteng and other provinces competed with the local teams in the friendly games which coincided with the celebrations of Human Rights Day.
