Behind the Scenes Footage Gives Best Look at Scrapped ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ Movie
The story of Coyote Vs. Acme
enters a new chapter, as a behind the scenes video has surfaced online teasing fans with their best look yet at the kind of action they missed out on when Warner Bros. decided to scrap the movie. Shared in a viral post on X/Twitter by user @TopicsThe, the brief clip – though not long in duration – has renewed calls for someone to do the world a favor and release the movie by whatever means possible.
The footage shows how puppets and cut-outs of several iconic Looney Tunes characters, such as Porky Pig, Gossamer, and of course the titular character, were used on set, to be later replaced with the animated versions that would appear in the final movie. However, what is more interesting and intriguing are the several shots of technical crew members coordinating stunts and rigging contraptions that appear to pay homage to the outrageous ACME devices of classic Looney Tunes lore. One thing for certain is that this footage is not about to make the calls for the movie’s release go away.
Even though Coyote Vs. Acme was scrapped, there has still been no complete, final, and never-to-be-reversed decision about the movie’s fate being set in stone. Both fans and stars of the movie have expressed their frustration and annoyance at the way the film was treated, especially when insiders have claimed that the film had some incredible initial reactions, and was possibly one of the best Looney Tunes films to have been made in the last two decades.
Will Forte Says His Blood “Boils” Thinking About ‘Coyote v Acme’s Fate
Having plenty of disgruntled social media users is one thing, as fans who have not seen the movie are very easily outraged over any near-complete movie being scrapped, but when the actors involved in the movie also express their disappointment at the decision, it becomes a whole different ball game. In a recent interview with us, Will Forte shared his own frustration over the way things turned out for the movie. He said:
“It deserves so much better than what it got. I don’t know, I can’t tell you possibly why the decision was made to not release it, but it makes my blood boil. I like talking about the movie, because I want them to — I don’t want people to forget what they did to us. You know, maybe sometime, somehow we get to see it at some point. I hope people do, because I was really proud of it.”

Steven Ray Byrd spoke about the recent leak of plot details for Coyote vs. Acme and the support of fans who call for its release from Warner Bros.
For now, Coyote v Acme remains a tantalizing “what if” in the Warner Bros. vault. Whether it continues to stay there is something only time will tell. Studio execs have previously stated that a tax write off was not taken for the movie, which would suggest that there is nothing stopping them releasing the movie at some point. However, currently, the chances of that happening still look as slim as Wile E. Coyote ever getting to sit down to a nice plate of fried Road Runner with onion rings on the side.
