BJP Delhi MPs propose four new projects for national capital to Gadkari
All seven BJP Delhi MPs on Wednesday met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari to propose four new projects for the Capital.
The projects included the construction of a tunnel from Shiv Murti to Nelson Mandela Marg, connecting the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway to the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, and the Urban Extension Road-II (UER) with the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and the extension of UER-II near Alipur.
The UER-II connection and extension would provide a direct route for vehicles travelling from Delhi to Uttar Pradesh and Noida without entering the city.
East Delhi Lok Sabha MP and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra said Mr. Gadkari assured consideration of these proposals with appropriate action soon.
Mr. Malhotra emphasised that these projects were aimed at reducing pollution, congestion, and traffic jams. The projects would also help regulate the number of vehicles entering from other States, he added.
