Brazil promotes fruit exports in Asia

The Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivative Producers and Exporters (Abrafrutas) will participate in Asia Fruit Logistica 2025 in Hong Kong, AsiaWorld-Expo, between September 3 and 5. The association will be located in Hall 03, Stand 3E31, through the Frutas do Brasil project, a partnership with the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). The objective is to connect Brazilian producers with buyers, distributors, and commercial agents across Asia.

The booth will serve as a meeting point for negotiations and networking while showcasing the diversity of Brazilian fruit production. According to Executive Director Eduardo Brandão, “Asia Fruit Logistics is a window of opportunity for Brazilian fruit. Being here is not only promoting the diversity of our production but also opening doors to new strategic markets. The recent opening of Brazilian grapes to China demonstrates that we are on the right track, and the fair is the ideal space to consolidate negotiations, as well as advance new opportunities, such as lemons, whose negotiations are already at an advanced stage and should soon result in the opening of another market. It will be another opportunity to showcase to the world the strength and quality of Brazilian fruit production.”

Among the participants is Abrafrutas’ partner company, Swett Fruits, a grower from the São Francisco Valley. The company has 1,200 hectares of production, including over one million mango trees, ensuring a consistent supply and exports to more than 15 countries.

The presence of Swett Fruits highlights the role of Brazilian growers in supplying international markets with fruit on a year-round basis.

The participation in Asia Fruit Logistica is part of a broader strategy within the Frutas do Brasil project, which also includes presence at other international trade events such as Fruit Logistica in Berlin and Fruit Attraction in São Paulo and Madrid. These events provide opportunities to promote Brazilian fruit, explore new markets, and reinforce trade relationships.
