Bulgaria, South Africa to Enhance Science Cooperation

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the government approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Bulgaria and South Africa on scientific, technological, and innovation cooperation. The memorandum will be signed by Bulgaria’s Ambassador to South Africa, Maria Pavlova, and Blade Nzimande, South Africa’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The document opens new prospects for developing bilateral relations in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. It provides for the implementation of joint research projects and programmes, as well as the exchange of scientists, experts, and researchers. Scientific seminars and conferences will be organized for this purpose, with opportunities for mutual use of research infrastructure, equipment, and information.
