Calvin Klein unveils new global flagship store in Tokyo
Calvin Klein will open its newest global flagship store in Tokyo on Friday, marking another chapter in its continued expansion in major markets, following Paris last year.
In the heart of the Harajuku district, the brand has delivered an elevated consumer experience, designed as both “a cultural and commercial destination”.
David Savman, who was appointed Calvin Klein’s global brand president in May, said: “The Tokyo flagship marks a pivotal milestone in the global retail strategy for the Calvin Klein brand.”
The three-storey flagship blends the label’s signature minimalism with the art of Japanese craft in a way that fuses heritage and modernity. The minimal space engraves traditional stone, plaster, glass, paper and cedar in a natural colour palette, where, according to Savman, “the Calvin Klein way of living meets the culture of fashion”.
“Calvin Klein has always stood at the intersection of fashion and culture, creating products and consumer experiences that resonate and inspire, and our stores are where this element of our iconic DNA is the most fully realised,” he added.
A New York flagship is scheduled to open later this year.
