Capardoni grows as a leading force in beauty packaging across Europe

For Capardoni, 2024 — crowned by the November merger with Capsol — represents the culmination of an external growth strategy that has been accelerating since 2003, when the Meazza family took the helm of this pioneering Italian plastics company.

A total of seven acquisitions, including Packplast, Cosmar, B&B, Guiros, Novapack, Packtrade and Capsol, have punctuated the period, driving the group’s diversification and strengthening its path toward industrial self-sufficiency.

Headquartered in Gorgonzola, in the Milan metropolitan area, Capardoni employs around 150 people and surpassed EUR 50 million in revenue in 2024 [1]. Its operations span three industrial sites covering 20,000 m², supported by five logistics hubs and a dedicated R&D centre. The company is planning further investments to expand selected sites and boost production capacity.

Standard and custom solutions

Capardoni now serves nearly all cosmetic categories — including skincare, makeup, nail polish, and fragrance — with a portfolio that balances standard solutions (65% of sales) and bespoke projects.

That’s what makes us strong today. We can offer standard products that are available almost immediately, as well as exclusive products. For instance, our range of packaging for the skincare sector is extremely extensive. We offer a wide variety of packaging options, including jars and glass or plastic bottles that can be combined with a wide range of accessories,” highlights Filippo Meazza, Vice President Sales & Marketing.

To meet the rising demand for standard solutions – driven by brands’ brands’ need for faster time-to-market — Capardoni is stepping up its R&D investments to deliver packaging that is both innovative and more sustainable.

Among the group’s recent innovations:

Diamond Dropper, a three-piece monomaterial (PP) dropper with a unique diamond-shaped nipple, customizable design, compatible with PP, PET, or glass bottles. It completes Capardoni’s 100% PP customizable dropper range.

Ruby Stick, a compact and lightweight (5g) stick, entirely made of PP, with a minimalist design suitable for a wide range of formulas.

Tottle Nevis 30ml, a made-in-Italy pocket-sized tottle with an HDPE or PP bottle and PP cap, and a, in-mould soft-touch option.

Chico 30, a glass bottle (exclusive Capardoni mould) and rounded overcap, combined with a pump developed with a partner for foundations, serums, and other formulas.

360° Security Flip Top Cap, a patented cap with a tamper-evident and anti-twist system, available in four versions (28/410−415 and 24/410−415).

Through its online configurator (www.capardoni.com/configurator/), Capardoni enables customers to easily personalize standard solutions, with a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 10,000 pieces.

Capardoni has earned the EcoVadis Silver medal and is now targeting Gold. The company is actively reducing its carbon footprint by installing solar panels across its sites, developing recyclable solutions, and providing product-specific carbon footprint assessments on request.

International development

Capardoni is carrying out a sustained investment program to modernize its manufacturing operations. Recently, over EUR 3 million was dedicated to acquiring new injection moulding machines and expanding in-house mould production. The company boasts a fully integrated tooling system, a guarantee of sustainability and quality.

Firmly established in Europe, Capardoni now seeks to expand its footprint in international markets — particularly in the United States — while remaining open to new opportunities for external growth.
