Chandrababu Naidu aims to see poverty-free A.P. by 2029

Development and welfare programmes are being implemented in a planned manner with the aim of eliminating poverty by 2029, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said while virtually participating in a patta distribution programme at Bhagat Singh Colony, 54th Division, SPSR Nellore on Saturday (August 9).

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Ponguru Narayana, Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, State Wakf Board Chairman Abdul Azeez, District Collector O. Anand, Joint Collector K. Karthik, Municipal Commissioner Y.O. Nandan, NUDA Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy and other attended the programme.

“Minister Narayana brought the issue of house pattas in Bhagat Singh Colony to my attention. As soon as he explained the difficulties faced by the poor, I took steps to distribute the pattas with the approval of the Cabinet,” the CM said, adding that the P4 programme is being implemented to eliminate economic inequalities in the society.

Mr. Narayana said that out of 1,430 people, 633 were being given house pattas in the first phase. He said many people in Nellore are currently staying in government sites and want pattas. He requested them to bring the issue to his attention, clarifying that steps will be taken to grant pattas on land parcels not involved in court cases.

He announced that 11 government high schools in the city will be renovated by the next academic year and that all schools will be modernised through the P4 programme.
