Chanel opens duplex flagship in Seoul
The French luxury house Chanel has opened its first duplex store at Seoul’s Incheon international airport, in partnership with the Shilla Duty Free.
Located in Terminal 2, the Shilla store is designed in the brand’s packaging colour identity of black and white, with a touch of contemporary artwork.
The duplex store offers Chanel’s collection, including ready-to-wear apparel, footwear and accessories, while its ground floor showcases signature Chanel bags and the brand’s latest offerings, such as the Chanel 25 handbag.
“We expect this Chanel duplex boutique to be a landmark at Incheon international airport, in terms of size, interior design, the range of products it offers, and its differentiated customer service,” said Shilla Duty Free spokesperson.
Chanel is one of the luxury brands, among others, operated by Shilla Duty Free, which also includes Tiffany & Co, the watchmaker Omega, and Dior, all of which are planned to open next year.
Earlier, Chanel established Nevold as an independent division focused on recycling and waste management.
The luxury house reported a 4.3 per cent drop in revenues for the year ended December 31 to $18.7 billion due to consumers’ global cold’ toward the luxury sector.
